I am commited to the ongoing financial assisantce of two charities.
Millwood Cat Rescue
is a small private cat rescue centre, providing a safe haven for
abandoned and feral cats in the Nottinghamshire area. It receives no
government funding, and relies solely on donations and volunteers. I
have volunteered at Millwood since 2007, and have been sucked into adopting three cats so far from Millwood.
My second charity is Nowzad.
The Nowzad Dogs charity has been formed to do something positive for
the cats, dogs and other animals of Afghanistan and Iraq that have no
hope and nobody to care for them. Nowzad especially helps soft-hearted
service men and women finance the transport costs of sending to their
home country the four-legged friends they make whilst on tour with the
forces. Again, Nowzad receives no government funding and operates in a hostile environment where animal welfare is not considered important. Nowzad relies solely on donations from people like you and me.
